Thomas Linville moved at Kanawha County, VA, circa 1811 The family moved from Stokes Co. NC to Kanawha Co. (later Logan Co., WV) VA and finally to what was to become Boone County, WV near Uneeda. Thomas built a log cabin by the river but it was soon washed away during a flood. Thomas then moved to the mouth of Bull Creek where he died about 1822. He died between 1820 and 1822 at Kanawha County, VA.

She married Richard Linvill, son of Thomas Linvill and Elizabeth Wickersham, on 28 January 1672/73 at Maresfield, Sussex County, England. As of 28 January 1672/73,her married name was Mary Linvill. Mary (Hart) Linvill (as Mary Linfield, the alternate English spelling for the surname) requested a survey of 100 acres in at Chester from William Penn's surveyors on 20 October 1683. Apparently, a survey, which would have been either for 100 acres for the immigrant if passage paid (which seems most likely) or 50 acres for herself and 50 acres in her husband Richard's right if they came as servants, was not executed, perhaps because she remarried five months later. As of March 1684,her married name was Mary Baldwin. Thomas Baldwin married Mary (Hart) Linvill, widow of Richard in March 1684 at house of Michael Izard, Chester, Chester County, PA; This is the first marriage return made after Penn set up his government on 1 Mar 1684. The second certificate is dated 22 Mar 1684, which means the marriage occurred between those two dates. Mary Hart Linvill Baldwin particpated in the land sale (from Pennsylvania) of North Northlands with son Thomas and John Linvill on 12 December 1699. Along with her second husband and two sons, Mary sold her right to the copyhold of North Northlands in Fletching, Sussex, England on 12 December 1699. Mary Hart petitioned court in August 1725 at Chester, Chester County, PA, for separate food and clothing maintenance because for the last six years she has "Lived a most miserable & unquiet life" because her husband (Thomas Baldwin) moved in with their daughter (Elizabeth) and son-in-law, Richard Weaver and have forced Mary to live outside to avoid husband's anger and threats. The petition was denied and six years later, Mary, is referred to in Thomas Baldwin's will as "well beloved wife." By 1725, Mary clearly had learned how to write her name as the 1725 petition shows a shakey signature, while the two earlier documents in 1684 and 1699/1700 show only a "sign." She died after 13 March 1731 at Chester County, PA.
