MotherMary (?) d. b 7 Nov 1825
Lewis Linville Jr. was born between 1814 and 1822 at SC; In the estate files for father Lewis, Lewis, Jr. is a minor between 14-21 who appeared 5 Jan 1836 in Orphans Court, Chambers County, AL and requested Thomas E. Deen as his guardian. He may be the Lewis Linville, age 28, born SC in the 1850 Census for Sacramento County, CA. He is listed with a William P. Linville, age 22, born in SC - probably a nephew.

Father-CanLewis Linville b. bt 1774 - 1784, d. b 7 Aug 1822
Mother-CanMary (?) d. b 7 Nov 1825
Evan Linville was born circa 1802. He likely had children in addition to those listed with him in 1850 census. The 1830 census suggests one son and three daughters. It is possible, also, that William P. Linville, in the 1850 census for Sacramento County, CA, born in SC with Lewis Linville, also born in SC, could be one of the children. One of William P.'s sons indicated his father was born in MS, and this family clearly lived in MS. Evan Linville served as the administrator of his mother's estate and then took over the administration of his father's estate after his mother, Mary the original adminsitratrix, died. He appeared on the census of 1830 at Laurens County, SC. Household apparently doesn't include Evan, who may have been away from home that day, but does include a male age 10-15; and four females - 5-10; 10-15; 14-20; and 30-40. He married Delia (?) circa 1832; A marriage recorded in Yalobusha County, Mississippi appears to be that of Evan Linville and Delia (---) Wade. This would have been a second marriage for him, since children with the surname of Linville older than a year are in his 1850 household with Delia Linville and a likely daughter, Maria Wade, age 20. Evin Linvill purchased 160+ acres in Mississippi through the Chocchuma Land Office on on 1 December 1840. Evan Linville appeared on the census of 5 September 1850 at Northern Division, Carroll County, MS; He is also listed on the Slave Census returns for the same date and place with nine slaves. He died after 5 September 1850 at MS.

Massa Linville was born circa 1800. She witnessed the probate of the estate of Lewis Linville on 7 August 1822. Massa bought a trunk, chest, tea cups, saucers and spoons from the estate of Lewis Linville. She is not mentioned in the completion of the estate in 1830, however, or in her mother Mary Linville's estate, unless Massa had married in the interim and her husband is one of the men in the estate, as is the case of Nancy (Linville) Brown, wife of John Brown. Regardless, she likely died without heirs before either estate was finalized between 1830-4. Massa Linville died.
