     Ira S. Linville was born on 18 June 1885 at NC. He appeared on the census of 26 March 1920 at Ketchikan, AK. He died on 31 October 1924 at Ketchikan, AK, at age 39; Died in a boat accident. He and his brother Dan had started a fishing business. Dan and returned to NC for a visit and Ira was killed in a boating accident while Dan was gone. Fowl play was suspected since there were considerable fishing territory disputes occurring and the boat sank unexpectedly in the harbor. He was buried at Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery, Belews Creek, Forsyth County, NC.
