Marriages - it is not totally clear that Thomas G. had two mariages. He clearly married Sallie Ann Thompson - she is the mother of the 3 children. Her name appears on John T's death certificate. Sallie died in 1917 - the 1920 census lists Thomas G. as widowed. The 1870 census record shows his wife as Alethia J. which introduces this confusion.. In addition, the 1900 census, lists the year of marriage as 1973, which is not consistent since the new spouse name for Alethia was introduced in the 1870 census. The 1900 census should probably 1963 and this is the same wife - Thomas G. had one wife. Thomas George Linville was born on 26 February 1844 at KY; 1844 is from death cert. - also have sources with 1841 and 1842.
