It is not clear whether Cassandra (Wickersham) Yeomans had children with John Yeomans, but there is some land evidence to suggest that she did. A 1702/3 will of Levy Yeomans, who is likely related to John, bequeathed land called "Woodgates" in Fletching. This is land which was passed to Cassandra's brother, Richard Wickersham, Jr., in their father's 1658 will.

Thomas Tuppen

M
Katherine Wickersham of Fletching (inland) married Thomas Tuppen of Piddinghoe (on the seacoast of Sussex) on 30 November 1612 at at St. Andrew and St. Mary the Virgin in Fletching. Thomas Tuppen of Piddinghoe stood surety for the marriage of his brother-in-law Richard Wickersham and Elizabeth Evans; There are several connections between the Wickershams in Fletching and those in the small coastal parishes of Seaford, Newhaven and Piddinghoe to the south. Two of Richard Wickersham's sisters -- Katherine and Bridget -- married families with connections in the coastal towns -- the Tuppens of Piddinghoe and the Presses of Seaford. Richard's brother-in-law, Thomas Tuppen not only stood surety for his marriage license taken in Fletching in 1627, (and actually accomplished at St. John sub Castro, Lewes near the coast), but was also the first father-in-law of Richard's later son-in-law, Thomas Linvill who first married to Frances Tuppen (daughter of Thomas) in Piddinghoe and who later married Richard's daughter, Elizabeth Wickersham, in Fletching.

first wife of John (?)1

F, d. 1703/4
As of before 1701,her married name was Linvill First wife of John Linvill. John Linvill probably first married, son of Richard Linvill and Mary Hart, circa August 1701 at Chester County, PA. There is no record, yet, of the name of John's first wife. She was NOT likely the Ann who is mentioned in the deed chain for his Conestoga land in 1733. Because when he first bought land in Jun 1701 and then sold it in 1704, no wife was involved, suggesting the first wife died before 1704. Neither is there a wife when he bought his next land in 1709 which he sold by 1715. But at least three sons apaprently were born between 1701-1714, and possibly at least one of his daughters. All the original extant marriage records for Chester, Philadelphia and New Castle (Delaware) have been searched without finding a marriage record for him.The records for either one or two marriages for John might have been lost when some of the Chichester Friends Meeting records were burned during the Revolution. However, there is no other indication that he was involved with Quaker or any religious life. There is also the possibility that his was an unrecorded marriage during the time when St. Paul's Church in Chester did not have resident minister; however, since John was conspicuously missing from the baptism records of that church, this seems less likely. First wife of John (?) died in 1703/4 at Chester, Chester County, PA.

As of circa 1730,her married name was Ann Hendricks. She married Henry Hendricks circa 1730 at probably Conestoga, Lancaster County, PA; The probable date is based on the probable ages of their children and Henry's known age. Ann Linvill lived between 1744 and 1749 at Dug Hill Ridge, Carroll County, MD. She lived between 1749 and 1763 at Maiden Rest, Shrewsbury Township, York County, PA. She lived in 1765 at Augusta County, VA. She lived on 26 November 1766 at NC From her new home northwest of the Moravian Settlement in North Carolina, she petitioned the York County Orphans' Court that her sister's children --Lydia and Jannet Mearns be able to choose their own guardian since the one appointed by the court (Peter Shugart) was not capable of caring for them. Petition was granted. She died after 26 November 1766 at NC. It is clear she was alive on this date when, as a resident of the Yadkins Forks area in Rowan County, NC, she petitioned the York County, PA Orphan's Court. But it is likely she lived for some time after this.
